Chickens are an essential part of many people’s lives. But since the pandemic, people all around have experienced an egg shortage in their local markets. This caused many to run for the coops in hopes of finding their own dependable chicks to lay fresh eggs. Chickens are much easier to keep than other livestock because they require relatively little space and a minimal investment to help them thrive. If you’re currently a chicken keeper or thinking about becoming one, you’ve probably wondered how many others are out there living the dream too.
Of course, the eggs shortage isn’t the only reason people have sparked interest in chicken keeping. Chickens can provide a number of benefits, from pest control to free fertilizer. But no matter the reason for keeping chickens, we were able to find the states who have the most of them!
